We wanted to get to the heart of the problem, why even when there is so much potential in Latino business owners (many of them with previous experience in their countries of origin), they had difficulties in both formally joining the system and making their businesses competitive and as or more successful than American-owned businesses.
I confirmed that the same thing I went through with other entrepreneurs faced in one way or another. Although there is a lot of information today, language and culture are still barriers. Latinos need to feel included, so we seek to identify with someone who ahas had a similar experience as a first step.
Due to this, Empresarias100k wants to become a Latino business accelerator, empowering and motivating the community to start creative, innovative, and socially responsible businesses, which will allow them to be competitive in the market and fulfill their dreams.
With our multidisciplinary team of instructors and specialized consultants, we have designed a robust program that includes follow-up and personalized evaluation; we generate commitment in the participants so that at the end of each trimester, they deliver a final work of each one of the classes.
Our business vision is to have a business community that takes advantage of all the resources and focuses on getting their MWBE certification, applying to available contracts at the federal and state level. We project ourselves as a Latino business accelerator, empowering established companies through transmitting knowledge, tools, and resources; our programs are there to make an impact.
