Within Reach began in 2018. After a particularly rough year, it was now or never to pursue our dream! We created our business to have a great place for the community to gather! Also, we wanted to show our kids to never give up, with hard work and determination, you can reach your goals! It hasn’t been smooth sailing, but against all odds (literally), we opened our business in Cudahy WI. It was an uphill battle, but we were not about to give up. The building sat empty for 8 years, therefore, we had no initial “following”. When we obtained the keys to the building, there was a lot more that needed to be replaced than we originally knew - not the least of which was new coolers and the kitchen having to be gutted. We realized the kitchen would have to wait. 5 months into the opening, Covid hit and we were shut down! Since then, we’ve created 3 positions and our workers are like family, continually contributing and implementing their own ideas! We run karaoke, bingo, and soon trivia which the community seems very excited about! However, our main passion is still getting our kitchen up and running! I am more hands-on at the bar getting supplies, placing orders, covering shifts, etc, while Jodi performs most of the behind-the-scenes requirements (taxes, insurance, bills). Our kids help out on weekends cleaning and stocking - hopefully soon serving food! We want them to have a successful, family place to carry on after us!
