Coffee Rescue is a multi-faceted business. It began as a mobile food truck, has since added a brick-and-mortar coffee shop in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and started a small-batch coffee roastery, producing a line of Fair-Trade Organic coffees that give to different charities. This aspect gives me the most pride and excitement for the future, as I've always wanted to add a charitable component to my business model over the past ten years! The future for Coffee Rescue involves the distribution of our coffee as we partner with like-minded organizations that give back in their own ways, such as helping people overcome addiction, anti-bullying campaigns, suicide prevention, first responder charities, animal rescues, and more. One of my proudest moments (so far) has been the relationship I've developed with Joe Gatto (Impractical Jokers) and the money we've raised for animal rescue. Kiva will support the growth of my business by allowing me the staffing I need to continue the day-to-day operations of the coffee shop and food truck as I build the Coffee Rescue charitable brand and footprint.
