I started Touch of Heaven Floral Shoppe because of my passion for products and necessities. Mount Healthy used to have eight local floral shops. Now there is just a Big Box store. I can service an aging population that the Pandemic has even more challenging.
Touch of Heaven is within walking distance of 4 central funeral homes that service this community. My presence here has allowed me to help my neighbors significantly because I deliver, and being local; my delivery charges are lower. I can also do same-day or short-notice arrangements for these funeral homes.
I have only been here three years but gained trust t and a 5-star rating for providing quality products and personable customer service.
The greatest challenge I face is the price of products and supplies wh, ich I saw the most significant increase in 2022. Due to increased costs, I could engage another worker as an independent contractor but not hire as a full-time employee.
As my reputation has grown, a part-time employee would be optimal but reasonably frankly necessary.
Kiva was instrumental in establishing this business. It provided the capital I needed to last these three years. Another Kiva loan would support me by helping me purchase more inventory, software, and marketing assistance. Through aggressive marketing, I can engage the tools needed to grow this business beyond its current range. It would then allow me to implement one of my founding goals: To offer future floral designers a place to gain experience and keep this vital occupation going for another generation.
