Sleeping Giant Coffee Company is a coffee roaster that sources a fully-organic lineup of beans, many of which are certified Fair Trade. I have partnered with Cafe Femenino, an organization that sources coffees from women-owned or managed co-ops/farms worldwide, to help level the playing field in the coffee supply chain. My focus is to further minimize our environmental impact by only using fully-compostable coffee bags and other paper products for packaging - no plastics! I receive orders mainly through my website, delivering orders direct to consumers' homes or wholesale partners (grocers, cafes). I recently signed a lease, so I will be moving this business into a publicly-accessible retail location for the first time. I'm excited to have a place for people to pick up their orders and see the roasting process in person. I hope to grow the business further with this physical location and become a more significant part of the community.
