In March, my wife and I started Green Smoothie Co. as a pop-up stand with ambitions to bring a healthy, refreshing, and locally-sourced smoothie option to our Sacramento community. As Farmer's Market regulars, we found it challenging to find a healthy beverage option that wasn't a diluted juice or sugar-infused beverage. So we've brought our island-inspired blend of vegetables, fruits, and herbs to make a refreshing yet nutrient-packed smoothie that will operate at local markets and events! At Green Smoothie Co., we source as much produce as possible from the Farmer's Market on the day of our markets. This ensures the freshest ingredients while supporting our local farmers, which is extremely important to our vision! Our business model is unique because we only have one Green Smoothie product! Our customers are constantly sharing how they love that we have perfected one smoothie, and there aren't many choices! Our future goal is to partner with local low-income schools to offer small-business internship opportunities for students. With a background in education, we feel it is a vital part of our future goals to give back to our community through educational spaces and opportunities that will provide students with real-life experience operating a small business!
